What is a Vegan lifestyle?

Why should I choose a vegan lifestyle?

Motivations definitely differ among people looking to adopt a vegan lifestyle, but it is commonly the desire to protect animals. A vegan lifestyle, in addition to the food on our plate, involves giving up the use of all products which contain animal by-products. A common belief is that a 100% vegan lifestyle is almost impossible, because many products are of animal origin or contain animal products, but with time and effort it is 100% do-able. I have found amazing handbags, purses, shoes and make up which you can read throughout this blog.

At a time when animal testing and industrial animal farming have become so accepted, it is frustrating to see that non vegan products can be much cheaper than a vegan version. But for me, if I can not afford it, I wont buy it as the animal’s life is worth more to me than any product.

Weight loss is commonly linked with those who have been turning to a vegan diet has many health benefits. By adopting this lifestyle, you will find amazing ways to enjoy lots of great fruits and vegetables, which keeps the amount of saturated fat very low. Without realising it, overtime my diet became significantly more healthier.

Yes, There Are Always Critics

Many people criticise the vegan lifestyle and claim that it is not a completely healthy lifestyle and that through this type of diet we do not provide the body with everything it needs, these things are far from true. There are many benefits of a vegan lifestyle, from a healthier and more beautiful body to a healthier mind.

Many people have decided to adopt this lifestyle for their own reasons. Celebrities and personalities from all over the globe have made this change in their lives precisely because this lifestyle has something uniquely special about it. At the same time, unprocessed foods can help protect you from cholesterol issues and the cardiovascular diseases that can occur.

Away From The Plate And On My Body

When I first became vegan in 2016, vegan cosmetics and body products were not easy to find. I found it easier removing the animals from my diet compared with my skincare and beauty collection. On a vegan lifestyle, I believe, going beyond the plate is just as important for the animals and planet, but I know this can be hard at first. Is it better to finish what you have and then buy vegan products… or buy vegan products and throw away what we currently have? It’s a matter of opinion.

Cruelty-free vegan cosmetics contain no trace of animal products and have not been tested on animals in the production process. Luckily, there are now so many amazing brands producing vegan skin and body products, with plenty of them using only natural non-chemical ingredients.

Common Vegan Ingredients In Skincare

Vegan cosmetics do not contain ingredients that are derived from animals or include animal by-products. In general, the majority of ingredients are based on various essential oils and plant extracts. Some common ingredients you will find within vegan body products…

  • Aloe Vera
  • Olive oil
  • Green tea
  • Almond oil
  • Lavender oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Argan oil

Why Should We Choose Vegan Cosmetics?

I believe the benefits we can get from plant based products, are better for my skin than those derived from animals. So many plants that are used in cosmetics have been used for centuries for their special benefits to our body. They are gentle on the skin and hair, moisturizing and have a protective role. For example jojoba oil soothes irritations, coconut oil moisturizes, lavender oil has a role in skin recovery etc

Buying vegan products also contributes to the protection of animals and the environment, and to our health.
